Updates

Well well well. Let's stick to biz shall we?

Film:

Brothers Cannibal, Lovesick Captivity and Finger Bang are being shopped around right now. News on who and where will be availble soon.

Theater of Derange which is an antholgy film produced by Psykik Junky Pictures, that I made the short Cannibal Blood Girl for (starring Sophie Dee, Veronica Ricci, Brain Redban, Doug Waugh, Kevin E Scott), has been picked up by World Wide Multi Media and will be out soon. The film also has 4 other shorts by James Cullen Bressack, Shawn C Phillips and more.

Brides of Sodom has been picked up by Media Blasters and will be out May/June of this year. Yay! The film starts Domiziano Arcangeli, Dylan Vox, David Taylor, Elina Madison, Peter Stickles, Chandler Maness, Rachel Zeskind and a slew of others.

I Was a Teenage Suicide, Reanimated Roadkill and Lake Death are still in post and other Creep Classics like Erection, MKC: Monster Killers Club Season 1, Creep Creepersin's Creepshow parts 1 and 2 should be released sometime this year as well.

There are a ton of films that I am working on this year in one way shape or form. The Fallen Kingdom is a fantasy film based on the book with the same name. As well as a couple really fun, quriky, dry, comedy / horrors too. More on those later.

Music:

Creepersin Reanimated came out on CD in November and has been doing great. Thanks to everyone who has picked it up. Spread the word about it.

We are recording a new EP right now that has the theme song from my short Cannibal Blood Girl called Cannibal Blood Girl. Lol. That should be out soon. And it will be availble for free for a limited time so make sure you check back often.

We are also going to be recording a "Live" album. That is the majority of the songs we plyed on the reanimated tour.

Also, i am recording at least one acoustic album this year. maybe more.

Other:

There is talks about some kind of show. There is also talks about a web show produced by Charlie Vaughn. There is also a book that i am writing that i would like to have out by summer. But, really, there is just a BUNCH of writing going on at this time. :)

CREEPERSIN FILMS HAS MOVED TO BURBANK! and a bunch of othher stuff...

So then, where to begin? We have moved operations to beautiful Burbank California. This has been an amazing blessing! We have had so many meetings and so many good times since being here, i am very happy with this choice.

As far as projects go, we are in the final stages of post on Brothers Cannibal, Brides of Sodom and Lake Death. All three films look great! I am very excited to see the final products. In fact there is a Brides of Sodom trailer that premiered at Vampire Con over the weekend that i will post soon.

Catacomb Tapes is moving along swimmingly and I can't wait to go to France and watch my Babygirl work it!

In other news, Creepersin Films partner Charlie Vaughn is directing Vampire Boys which starts shooting at the end of July. I'm going to the casting session on Wednesday to see who he picks!

I recently teamed up with Kevin (Lake Death) Kramer to develop a animated series called CREEPSVILLE. Its about monsters. We brought on some animators who have done shows like The adventures of Billy and Mandy, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Chowder and Fan boy and Chum Chum to just name a few.

Also, I'm getting the old crew together to do a web series called MKC: The Monster Killers Club which Nikki and I will star in along side other Creeper Crew Alum, Buz Danger Wallick, Charlie Vaughn and Andrew Ceperly! I will have more details on that later this week. Also, for all the actresses out there, we are having a casting call for one of the leads named Mindy. Its on Now Casting if you are interested in it.

Buz and I are also working on a feature that we are co writing together that he will direct and i will produce called The Broadcast. It will be the scariest film you have ever seen!

Nikki and I are both working on finishing up a ton of scripts right now and that has been going great.

The biggest thing as of late that has come up is that, I am attached to direct a film called RENEGADE: REBEL PATRIOT which is a action/comedy that is fucking fantastic! it was written by Jeremy Tate and Daniel Tate and stars.......JONATHAN LOUGHRAN and PETER DANTE! I am going to blow so much shit up i don't know what to do with myself! In the coming weeks, i will be giving updates on cast and crew. If you want to follow this a little closer you can follow Renegade on Twitter at www.twitter.com/RenegadeRP

Now if that news wasn't big enough, i have some pretty damn big news as well to follow that shit up with. for those of you who have been dying to see more of my films and don't understand why it seems to be so hard to find them, that won't be a problem for much longer. I am in talks right now to make sure that every thing I've done will be out soon.

So, all in all, things are pretty fucking amazing right now and they are only getting better. And Chalie lost a tooth today!

LAKE DEATH WRAPS!

so there i am, leaving pollygrind heading for the lake of big bear, when all of the sudden, we shot a cool ass flick! the shoot went great! i loved it. this film is so cool for me to do. i have always wanted to do an old school slasher flick and i think me and my cast and crew have knocked it out of the park. i can't wait for you all to see it. can't really give any of it away, but here are some behind the scens pics and a couple screen grabs.

Pollygrind update

hey all! i just wanted to offically come back and say hello to everyone. this has been a crazy month for me. to start off, Pollygrind was awesome! Chad and the Sci Fi Center put on a great show. I actually won to awards there! I got Best Special Showcase for my triple featuresin of Orgy of Blood, Vaginal Holocaust and Caged Lesbos a Go Go as well as my trailers for He, Erection, Frankenstein, Ding Dong Dead, Corporate Cut Throat Massacre and Peeping Blog. PollyGrind brings out the darkside

PollyGrind brings out the darkside

Film festival gets underway this Wednesday and runs until May 16 in Las Vegas

MAY 10 — As a fan of genre and independent cinema, Chad Clinton Freeman knows how hard it is to weed through everything and find good movies to watch these days. As a filmmaker, he also knows how hard it is to get independent works out for the public to see them. With both of these experiences in mind, Freeman created the Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest.

The event, which will consist of five days of programming in the tradition of grindhouse theaters with double and triple features each day, gets underway this Wednesday and runs till May 16 at the Sci-Fi Center (2520 State Street) in Las Vegas.

Thirteen films and more than 31 trailers, music videos and shorts will play the PollyGrind, which has been hyped by Vampires.com as “one of the biggest events for grindhouse and trash film lovers this year.”

“This week the cinematic revolution that is known as the PollyGrind begins,” said Freeman, who has been dubbed the "new champion of unabashed B-movie sleaze" by ArrowInTheHead.com. “This festival is being put on in the same spirit as old school grindhouse cinema - no funding and creatively using whatever is available. With that being said, I think the lineup turned out rather nicely and I think everyone that comes out will enjoy what William Powell’s Sci-Fi Center and the PollyGrind have to offer.”

Five features will have world premieres at the event. John R. Hand’s sci-fi arthouse film Scars of Youth opens the festival May 12. The Dead Undead, which stars Luke Goss and was directed by stuntmen Matt Anderson and Edward Conna, world premieres May 13. Creep Creepersin will world premiere his films Vaginal Holocaust, Caged Lesbos A-Go-Go, and Orgy of Blood on May 15.

The films Greg Lamberson’s Slime City Massacre (which stars Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins and Brooke Lewis), Henry Weintraub’s Melvin, Bruce Dickson’s Red Velvet (Henry Thomas, Kelli Garner and Cristen Coopen), James Pronath’s Horrid, Jen Soska & Sylvia Soska’s Dead Hooker in a Trunk, Alex Pucci’s Frat House Massacre and the anthology Terror Overload (Scarlet Salem, Rachel Grubb and Ari Lehman) will have Las Vegas premieres and the Argentina import Zombie Apocalypse Now: A Zombie Hunter will screen for the first time in the United States.

“Personally, I think all of these films are great. Otherwise I wouldn’t have programmed them,” Freeman said with a chuckle. “I will say that I’m very pleased I’m getting to open with the world premiere of Scars of Youth and I think the stuff Creep is bringing for Saturday should be a blast. Also, I think Slime City Massacre, The Dead Undead, Dead Hooker in a Trunk and Red Velvet will be crowd favorites.”

Also highlighting the festival will be works from award-winning filmmakers Michael Ramova (four faux trailers and a short), Calvin Lee Reeder (shorts The Rambler and The Snake Mountain Colada), Aaron Mento (shorts Absent and Heathen’s Gate) and Ginnetta Correli (music video Hippodome Mime).

Other short films playing will range from horror (The Bet, Blood Shed, The Red Hours, Depraved, and Hypochondriac), to animated fun (Frankenstien vs. Wolfman in 3D), to film noir (Stiletto), to sci-fi (Babylon 2084), to experimental (Telefone), and even dark comedy (Sis, and Because There Are Things You Never Forget).

Music videos will include Ryen McPherson’s entry Jitterbug (song by Walker Rose), the world premiere of Alvaro de la Hoz’s Long Goodbye (Lazy), David Wanger’s Anatinus (LIGO) Elona’s Warrior (Elona), and Rob Prior and Paul Jenkins’ Get Your Dead On (Scum of the Earth).

The PollyGrind will also feature appearances by actors, actresses, filmmakers and more. Confirmed special guests include Scream Queens Elske McCain and Donna Hamblin, actor Robert C. Sabin of Slime City and Slime City Massacre, comic book legend Everette Hartsoe (Razor), pinup artist Popeye Wong, and filmmakers Creep Creepersin, Alex Pucci, Sean Cain, Shane Ryan, Michael Dunn, Jeffrey Bliss, Aaron Mento, and Jeffrey Blake Palmer.

Vendor tables will open an hour and half before the movie madness begins each night. There will be items for sale, autograph and photograph opportunities, as well as raffles and giveaways.

Various nightly hosts will include spooks-model Jennique Angel, HorrorNews.net managing editor Dai Green, and Heather Wixson of DreadCentral.com, while sponsors of the event are TheGrindHouse.net, MTI Home Video, Sony Creative Software, FootageFirm, Terror Cards, and Dolls and Dead Things.

When the dust settles, the film festival will hand out more than 14 awards, including the top prize dubbed The Biggest Baddest Mother of the PollyGrind. There will also be awards for best use of music, nudity/sexuality, violence/gore, and most outrageous. The audience will also be casting ballots each night to pick their favorite feature, short, music video and trailer.

Tickets for the event are $10 per day. Five day passes and three day passes can be purchased in advance for $40 and $25 at PollyGrind.com or TheSciFiCenter.com.

In anticipation of the event, Ammon Gilbert of ArrowInTheHead.com has called it “a B-movie jamboree of awesomeness” that “only Vegas has the balls to host.” Josh Bell of Las Vegas Weekly said “there's a fine line, certainly, between underground genre weirdness and artistic ambitions, and the festival will no doubt do everything possible to blur it.”

Freeman said he hopes both journalists are right in their predictions, and then some. “Our aim, as has always been the case with PollyStaffle.com, is to celebrate individuality, diversity, creativity and empowerment,” Freeman said. “Hopefully, PollyGrind is a fun and unique experience that honors the darker side of cinema and showcases the work of filmmakers with defiantly independent visions. I also hope it comes off as an intimate educational experience and a networking function for the audience and the filmmakers that will leave everyone wanting to come back for more next year.”

New Orgy of Blood Trailer made for Berlin

This is a new poster that was made for the Berlin film market. it might look a little like another film's poster but the name of that film has left my mind for the moment.

Saturday, January 16, 2010

the new year....

well as always, things are kinda crazy. so here is the craziness. we are shooting The Brothers Cannibal in less than a week (finally!) and i am very geeked about it. we have Matt Turek, Buz Danger Wallick, Elissa Dowling, Alexandra Ackerman, John Kayrus, Charlie Vaughn and Joel Hebner in it. its gonna rock!

then, i am doing another film with executive producer Domiziano Arcangeli (Orgy of Blood) called The Brides of Sodom. we are casting the first week of feb. so i will let you know more about that as we get to it.

then i will directing a film that was co-written by an actor i have worked with, Chandler Maness (Orgy of Blood, Corporate Cut Throat Massacre) called The Perfect Room Mate. not sure about the dates on that yet.

and i will also be a judge at the ISFMA fest you can find out more about it here. http://www.isfmafest.com/

and if you heard something weird through the grapevine, there is a documentary / documentary series being done on me and my family right now. i don't think that there is a title, but they will be filming us a great deal the next few months. so there. that should be enough to tide you over until i feel the need to do this again.

CREEPERSIN TO RECORD NEW ALBUM!!!!

CREEPERSIN TO RECORD NEW ALBUM!
By Thorin Scheerer
11-24-09

Southern California Horror/Goth Rock band Creepersin is heading into the studio to record a new full length album in December. The band hasn’t put out a full length album since its 2006 album ‘Faster Creepersin Kill Kill’. Although, in 2007, they released an EP entitled ‘Creepersin’s Final Chapter’ and a compilation of previously released songs and demos called ‘House of Creepersin’ in 2008.

“We never intended on going on a hiatus but the film side of our career got really busy,” says front man Creep Creepersin, who has been directing horror films with his wife and band mate, Nikki ‘Mrs. Creep’ Wall. His repertoire includes titles such as ‘Orgy of Blood’, ‘Vaginal Holocaust’ and ‘O.C. Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown’ among others.

The new album that is as of yet untitled will be something for fans of the band’s punk rock roots but also shows a maturity in the song writing and promises a reinvention of the band as a whole.

“It’s basically a resurrection of what made Creepersin shows fun in the first place,” says keyboardist Mrs. Creep.

The album will be produced by Creepersin and also metal legend and frequent Creepersin film collaborator, Gary Griffith from the band Morgion.

“In working on all these films with Gary, it seemed inevitable that we would end up in the studio to do another album, “ says Creepersin.

The album will be the first by Creepersin, not to be released on their own ‘Creepsville Entertainment’ label. According to Creep, “we are chatting with labels to find the best home for our music, but as of now, I just think Creepsville is on hold.”

Creep is certain that the album will be available early next year and promises a return to the live stage. As of now no tours have been booked.

You can get Creepersin’s albums ‘The Rise of Creepersin’, ‘Faster Creepersin Kill Kill’, ‘Creepersin’s Final Chapter’ and ‘House of Creepersin’ at www.interpunk.com and www.amazon.com

Brothers Cannibal Update

so for those of you who don't know, The Brothers Cannibal got pushed back. It's mainly because our lead actor in the film, Matt Turek, who plays Mike Pollak a recently released convict who seems to have a hard time keeping on the straight and narrow, broke his foot. At the time, we were having budget problems, but those are gone and we are ready to go, we just now are going to wait for the foot of our hero!

Phoebe Dollar will be playing The Woman Who is Full of Mystery, who is the junkie that Mike finds at the Laundromat who ends up being the crux of the Pollaks really bad day. John Karyus plays Mark's good buddy Stevie the Sleaze, who lives up to that name. Charlie Vaughn plays The P.O. who is constantly after Mike making sure that he is staying on the right side of the law. Elissa Dowling plays Maude, the Obi-Wan Kenobi type that Mike meets at the Laundromat, who always gives him the best advise. and finally, international superstar, Domiziano Arcangeli, plays the Scary Mystery Man. I can't tell you anymore about him. He is full of answers to the secrets which keep the other characters in limbo.
